Christian Science has brought me many blessings
Christian Science has brought me many blessings. I am deeply thankful for the recovery of my son, who was severely gassed while in France in 1918. We received the news four days after the occurrence, and I telegraphed at once to a practitioner. In this emergency help was given without delay, and for this I shall ever be grateful. We learned later that for the first few days it was thought unlikely that he would recover. Of sixteen who went through the same terrible experience together our son and his great friend were the only survivors. I am grateful for all the help we received at that time.
Soon after beginning the study of Christian Science I asked for treatment from a friend, and was freed from an ailment for which I had taken medicine many years. Since that time, April, 1915, I have used no material remedy, but have put my trust in the great Physician alone. Colds, influenza, and other discordant conditions have been quickly overcome, sometimes through the help of a practitioner and sometimes by my own understanding of the truth. I am thankful to have been able on several occasions to help others.
In Jeremiah we read, "Ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." This promise has proved true for me, as seeking God with all my heart I found Christian Science, which is teaching me daily more of God; and I am learning that He is indeed "all Life, Truth, Love, over all, and All," as Mrs. Eddy says on page 17 of Science and Health.
