A little more than six years ago I began the study of Christian Science. Up to that time I had been very fearful of the future. The first message of Truth that proved helpful to me was Mrs. Eddy's loving counsel (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 307): "Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment." I was then awakened to some of God's promises: the one given to Moses, "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest," and also the one found in Isaiah, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." I thus realized a peace not known before, the peace which passeth understanding.
I have been healed of headaches from which I had suffered since early childhood. From my first study of Christian Science there has never been a return of this trouble, and I have been able to lay aside my glasses. I know that I was healed as a result of the better understanding of God gained through the study of our literature.
