Although young in the study of Christian Science, I...
Although young in the study of Christian Science, I should like to testify of the many benefits received. For some years I had been far from well, owing to internal weakness and to one illness following another. I suffered from severe nervous depression and great fear of everything. I prayed often that God would end my misery; and my prayers were answered, for I heard of Christian Science through the healing of a friend. The internal trouble was overcome in the first treatment. I began to read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and other Science literature, all of which helped me greatly. Treatment was continued for a few weeks and I was very soon restored to health and happiness. Through the reading of Science and Health several ailments have disappeared.
Though the physical healing is a great blessing, far greater is the spiritual uplift, the knowledge that God is our refuge and strength, that He never fails us if we but seek earnestly His aid. Christian Science has taught me many things. I have learned to forgive, to try to return good for evil, and to see error impersonally. The knowledge of Truth is a great help in solving life's little problems as well as its big ones. I am thankful to God for all His goodness, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for showing us so plainly that "in him we live, and move, and have our being."
(Mrs.) Chrissie Purvis, Colchester, Essex, England.
