Christian Science came to me at a time when it seemed as if I had lost all faith in the God I had been taught to worship. I began studying "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy, which had been lent to me by a friend. After reading awhile I asked for help for my five-year-old son, and he was instantly healed of supposedly inherited stomach disorder. He began to grow and was never troubled again with it. Later three children were healed of an acute throat trouble in one treatment. They have also been healed of measles and other ailments common in childhood. The son first mentioned was healed of ptomaine poisoning by the faithful help of a practitioner, when all those around him had no hope for his recovery. He has been wonderfully cared for in two automobile accidents. A car struck him, throwing him several feet, but he had help from a practitioner and did not lose a day from work. At another time his car turned over, pinning him under the steering wheel and injuring his left arm, but he was able to use it in three days. He was in active service in France and enjoyed perfect health. He was at the front and uninjured.
For these and many other demonstrations, words cannot express my gratitude. Christian Science has been our only help for many years. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us this wonderful truth, also for our literature and church services.—(Mrs.) Lucy Martin, San Antonio, Texas.
