Many times at Wednesday evening meetings I have listened to the testimonies given and always there were those who expressed gratitude for the spiritual uplift, and I have thought, Why does not the spiritual unfoldment come to me, so that I might honestly give such a testimony? I looked for a miracle to come into my experience, such as would change entirely my disposition and circumstances, and so temporarily missed recognizing my first healing, which was beautiful and permanent.

For many years my work called for long hours of standing and I could not remember a time when there was a day's freedom from backache. About three weeks of Christian Science treatment brought a complete healing from this trouble, and I am very grateful for it. A throat affection which came every winter and usually ended in an attack of grippe has not been experienced for several years and headaches have become less frequent. I now see that these are proofs that the spiritual unfoldment is at work, and wish to express my sincere gratitude for these blessings and also for the literature provided by our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
