I feel that I should acknowledge with gratitude a healing...

I feel that I should acknowledge with gratitude a healing experienced in the summer of 1918. When my husband and I were returning from our vacation, taking the trip on a tandem motor cycle, I began to feel ill with severe pains in the head and stomach. I tried to help myself but was not very successful, and soon after reaching a hotel in Pittsfield, my husband telephoned for a Christian Science practitioner, as I was in considerable pain and found myself growing numb. To mortal sense the disorder seemed to be ptomaine poisoning. Within an hour after the practitioner started treatment I fell asleep, waking later to find that every trace of pain had vanished, and in the morning we were able to resume our journey.

Physically and mentally both my husband and I have been benefited greatly through Christian Science and we are more than grateful for it.
