Among the Churches

Current Notes

Newar, N. J. —The edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, now under construction at the southwest corner of Clinton and Hillside Avenues, is after the design of the Italian churches in Lombardy. The building will have a frontage of 130 feet and a depth of 62 feet. The congregation has been meeting in the Masonic Temple at 16 Hill Street, and the building committee is planning to rush the construction with the purpose of holding services in the new church soon after the first of the coming year. The excavation work has been started. The interior will be so arranged as to provide for the seating of eleven hundred persons.
