It is four years since I first came into Christian Science. At that time I was a mental and physical wreck. For about a year and a half I had suffered from a number of ailments, including nervous exhaustion, hemorrhoids, weak heart, nasal catarrh, and nervous indigestion, which was so bad I could not take a bit of solid food. For thirteen years I had worn glasses with no hope of ever being free from them. I was in constant pain most of the time and very weak, and there were times when my mind seemed to become a blank. I had the best of medical attendance, but still grew worse. Finally I became so discouraged I decided not to take any more medicine as I felt there was no good in any of it. Then a relative who had been healed in Christian Science advised my trying it, and sent me to a practitioner, with the result that in less than a week I had not an ache or a pain left, I had removed my glasses, and was eating everything I wanted. At the same time I was healed of the fear of riding in an elevator. This is just one of many beautiful healings which have taken place in my home.

I was indeed grateful for this physical healing, but words cannot express my gratitude for the spiritual uplift which Christian Science has brought to me. I have had the privilege of class instruction, and have become a member of The Mother Church, also of a local church, and am trying not by words but by deeds to prove my gratitude for the truth as given us by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
