Two years ago a painful swelling appeared on one of my feet, hindering me in putting on my shoe and in walking. Through the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner I was completely healed in three days, and the trouble has not reappeared. Still more wonderful, however, was a healing received later from a condition which I firmly believed would always remain with me. For thirty years I had suffered from intestinal trouble and stomach disorder, and was unable to get along a single day without using a material remedy. The faithful help of the same practitioner freed me completely within four weeks. This healing and the pure, unselfish love which the practitioner reflected awakened in me the desire to know more of Christian Science.

The study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, has brought me great blessings; it has given me a new and wonderful point of view, and courage to believe in all the promises of Christ Jesus, and also that his followers to-day, as in the time of the first Christian church, have the divine right and sacred duty to "heal the sick in his name" (Pulpit and Press, p. 22).
