I rejoice always that I was willing to try Christian Science when it was presented to me, for it has proved such a blessing to me and mine. I turned to it for relief from bowel trouble and was permanently healed. Later, after a hard struggle, I was freed from asthma, which was said to be inherited. It is quite a few years since these healings were experienced. Before my first Christian Science treatment the only concept I had of God was of something to fear, but when this teaching revealed to me that God is Love it brought me a peace and joy that I had never known before, and I count this spiritual awakening my greatest blessing. The Bible was a closed book to me, and I did not even have one in my possession, but now I find the daily study of it and the application of its teachings a guide to health and happiness. I want to express my gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for how else but through her unselfish love and tireless labor for all humanity could I be enjoying the blessings of Christian Science?
