It is with the earnest hope that our experience may prove a beam of light to some wayfarer searching for Truth, that I humbly and gratefully give this testimony. For years I was subject to neuralgic headaches. I had been suffering from one of these attacks, and while the practitioner called on for help was with me I mentioned a particularly tenacious trouble of four years' standing, to which our son, five years old, was subject. The practitioner instantly met my remark with an emphatic statement of the child's completeness and perfection as an expression of God, and the matter was then dropped. From that time to this there has been no manifestation of the trouble, it having been overcome by the simple declaration of the truth. This so opened my eyes to the absolute omnipotence of Truth that when the next recurrence of neuralgic headache took place, I was able to place my entire dependence on God, throwing aside all faith in material help, with the result that I was healed.
A short time after this my baby daughter was born. Three nights later I awoke with a feeling of dread, and something impelled me to look at the baby. I found her in a very serious condition, her body turning cold, and at once I had my husband call for help by telephone. We then investigated, holding firmly to the fact of God's presence meanwhile, and found that the trouble was a hemorrhage through the bowels. This was overcome instantly through absent treatment, and the breathing, which had been very faint, became normal. In another day she was as well as ever.
Our desire is to know more of this beautiful truth, so that we can show our gratitude in deeds, for words are inadequate to express the song of thanksgiving and love in our hearts to God and our loving appreciation of the truth, which our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, brought again to humanity. — (Mrs.) MARY RAYMAKER, Chicago, Ill.
