Looking back over the years of suffering and distress due to physical ills, I rejoice in having been freed from bondage through the knowledge of God's goodness as learned by the study of Christian Science. It has been many years since I first heard of this religion, but, like many others, for some time I let it pass without much attention. A little over two years ago I was one of the most miserable and downhearted of women. I felt there was nothing to live for and life seemed all darkness to me, but when Christian Science was brought to me a new light came. I had severe attacks of acute stomach disorder, which finally developed into a chronic trouble. For many years I had to use the greatest care in my food and finally was restricted to a liquid diet. The physicians could do nothing to relieve my great distress, so at last I turned to God and was healed in two treatments through the power of Truth. Later I was healed of blood poisoning in my foot in one treatment. I have also been healed of a skin disease and of minor ills since I came into Christian Science.

Spiritual healings are coming to me every day through the understanding that God is All-in-all. It certainly gives me great happiness to write this testimony, for I know that others will read it and take heart from my experience. I want to be not only a hearer but a doer of the word, and I am daily striving to learn more of this wonderful truth and to live it.—(Mrs.) Carrie Lemmert, Bishop, Cal.
