Having so often been helped and encouraged by the testimonies in the Sentinel and Journal, I feel the time has come to express my deep gratitude to God for the wonderful truth revealed in Christian Science. For about fifteen years I was in very bad health, a depressed and well-nigh useless woman. All my time was spent in unsuccessfully seeking for health; I was constantly taking medicine and undergoing all sorts of treatments, every new one heard of being tried. Although during those years I consulted twenty-nine doctors, some of the cleverest in London, life continued a burden, from which I often prayed to be delivered.

I never can be grateful enough to the kind friend who took some trouble to bring me a Sentinel, and to tell me something of what Christian Science had done for her. I was ready and eager for anything that promised me better health, and although opposed by my family, its study with the help of a practitioner soon proved to be as real a blessing to me as it has been to thousands of other sufferers. It is now nearly eight years since I have used any medicine or material remedy. I am in my severty-second year, and every organ in my body has been restored to its normal, healthy condition. Life has become a joy once more, and its duties a pleasure. A few months after I turned to Christian Science, friends were remarking on the great change that had taken place, and those who did not see me for two or three years could hardly believe I was the same woman.

This is indeed cause for unbounded gratitude, but far beyond it is the beautiful knowledge of God as all good, ever present divine Love. I am grateful every hour of my life for Mrs. Eddy's wonderful writings. Science and Health is truly a key to the Scriptures, which were precious before, but are doubly so now. I am deeply grateful to all who have lovingly taught me and helped me, and also for our literature especially the Sentinel and the Journal, which come so regularly to cheer, strengthen, and enlighten, for I have much yet to learn.—(Mrs.) E. A. Beddow, London, England.
