It is with the greatest pleasure that I testify to the saving...
It is with the greatest pleasure that I testify to the saving power of Truth as demonstrated in Christian Science; truly, indeed, if we know the truth, the truth does make us free. One morning I awoke to find the whole side of my face paralyzed. Fear tried to get possession of me, but I knew that this discord was not in God's child. I could not eat properly and had to swallow my food without chewing, also in drinking I had to throw my head well back to get the liquid down my throat. A Christian Science friend treated me, but still the manifestation did not go. I received new courage, however, and went on treating myself. Just a fortnight afterward I awoke one morning early to find that I was free; and oh, the joy I felt, and the gratitude to God and to our dear Leader for a knowledge of the truth.
I wish to express my deepest thankfulness to God for many other demonstrations which I have had since coming into Christian Science; and with the psalmist I sing, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." How truly we all can as loyal students of Christian Science continually give thanks to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her untiring love and her work in mankind's behalf.
Laurence Harold Farley, Auckland, New Zealand.
