Great and lasting benefits having come to me through...
Great and lasting benefits having come to me through the application of Christian Science, it is with much pleasure and gratitude that I add my testimony to its healing power. About seven years ago I was healed of lung trouble by Christian Science, and since that time my health has been better that it ever was before. Some ten years prior to my healing, a physician in this city after an examination said my right lung was beginning to decay, and a few years later a doctor told me I had tubercular glands and that I had better give up office work and get some kind of outdoor employment, or go into the country; but owing to financial conditions I could not leave my position. That was the darkest hour of my life. Now that I have good health, I say with all my heart, thank God for Christian Science.
I have also been healed of the liquor habit. The male members on both sides of my family were in bondage to this habit, and though I tried a number of times to quit drinking, it was no use until Christian Science healed me. These healings, and a wonderful spiritual and moral regeneration, are priceless blessings to me, and I am indeed thankful to God that I was led to this beautiful and healing truth. No one can have derived such great benefits as these without experiencing deep gratitude to and love for our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy. My heart goes out in gratitude to her for her Christlike life. I also wish to express my gratitude for the consideration shown me by the Christian Scientists I have known. God bless them every one.
