I have been reading and studying "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy since January, 1916. In this short time I have received such a great deal of help and inspiration from it that I am very grateful and want others to know what it has done for me. I had been sick for two years with Bright's disease, doctoring constantly and living on a very strict diet, which I was told I would always have to do. One afternoon, while suffering with a severe headache, I decided to try Christian Science, so visited a practitioner, who interested and encouraged me at once with her loving sympathy and wonderful understanding of God's law. She began treatments that day and they were kept up for two weeks, though after the first two or three treatments all pain had left me. I lost the fear of certain kinds of food being harmful to me and ate everything I wanted without any inconvenience. I had one attack of the trouble afterward, but it was overcome with one treatment. I eat all the things that I had been forbidden to eat, without any ill effects, am perfectly well, and confident that the healing is permanent; in fact, my health is better than ever before and I am stronger in every way.

Christian Science has been a wonderful help with my three-year-old boy, who is growing more sturdy every day. He has had several minor healings, one of which is especially interesting. He stepped on a very hot register with his bare foot, raising a blister that completely covered the ball of the foot. His screams frightened me at first, and I thought the condition too serious for me to try to help him with my understanding of Christian Science, so I suggested putting something on the burn. He stopped crying immediately and said, "Mother, can't we trust God?" I accepted the rebuke and put his shoes and stockings on, and that afternoon he walked downtown with me, never once complaining; instead he said, "Mother, God took care of me; my foot is all well."

For these healings and many others I thank God and am deeply grateful to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
