A correspondent has taken a stand not uncommon to those who are ignorant of the real teachings of Christian Science; it is the result of a misapprehension of what Christian Science actually does teach—that of, "Just imagine you have a thing and you have it." Christian Science has numbered among its adherents men and women of all walks of life, and they are highly respectable citizens, who are not foolish enough to "imagine a vain thing" as indicated by this article. Imagination, as used in this sense of the word, is not an element of this Science, which deals with the eternal facts about God and man. Any student of Christian Science will attest that no such process of thought enters into the practice of its teachings.
