"The night watches"

How shall my heart sing songs in the night watches?
It is a long cry from Florence to Patmos, and there is no obvious connection between Machiavelli and Paul the apostle, yet it was the dweller in Florence of whom it was said that his citizenship was of the world, whilst it was the apostle to the Gentiles who explained the true meaning of citizenship, and the prisoner in Patmos who drew the picture of the true city, whose builder and maker is God.

It is with a heart filled with thankfulness to God that I...

It is with a heart filled with thankfulness to God that I testify to all Christian Science has done for me, hoping that this testimony may help others.
When reading the many helpful testimonies in our periodicals I have often thought that I also should like to add my experiences, but always the suggestion has come up, "I have had no wonderful healing like some of these people, so perhaps had better wait until I do!" Looking back over the last ten years, however, I find so much for which to be grateful that I feel it is time I availed myself of this opportunity of testifying to the great help which Christian Science has been to me.
I wish to express my gratitude for the physical healing as well as for the many other blessings I have received through Christian Science.
It gives me great pleasure to be able to inform you of another beautiful proof of the efficacy of Christian Science.
When I first went to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, I had never recovered from an attack of tonsillitis which occurred two years previously, and scarcely knew what it meant to be without a sore throat.
Many times it has come to me that I must express my gratitude for Christian Science and for what it has done for me and for my family.
It is with a grateful heart that I acknowledge the power of God to govern the universe with the law of love.
It is with the deepest gratitude that I write this testimony, for I feel that I am only returining to give thanks to God for the many blessings which have come to me in the past two years and a half through the understanding of Christian Science.
I have been studying Christian Science for some time, and have had so many benefits from it that I could not begin to tell all the good received.
I have been thinking for a long time that I would give my testimony of healing through Christian Science.
Afflicted with hemorrhage of the lungs, also stomach and bowel trouble, and suffering in mind and body, I came from Kentucky to Colorado by advice of my faithful physician, whom I loved and still love.
I wish to give thanks for the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science.
This testimony is sent in loving gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me.
It is about seven years since my first healing in Christian Science, and I would like to acknowledge this blessing publicly, to show in a small way my thankfulness to God and my gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs.
I have been reading and studying "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.
It is with a heart full of love and gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mrs.
