For ten years I have profited by reading the testimonies of those healed in Christian Science, and now I send mine with the hope that it may help others. In the fall of 1913 I took the position of postmistress and moved into an old building that required a great deal of labor to clean it up. Having spent about all we had for necessary things I was obliged to do most of the work alone. Just one month after moving in and on the day my first money order report was to be made out, I was attacked with such a terrible pain in my back that I was thrown to the floor. My husband had just gone out, but I at once began to declare the truth, both mentally and audibly, and after a while dragged myself to a chair and got into it. I was not able to get out of the chair that day, but the pain was overcome enough so that I made out the report with my husband's assistance, and it was found correct, which meant much, being the first one. This condition lasted for about three weeks. I was able to be around and help a little each day but could not lift my feet into bed. With the faithful help of a practitioner and my husband the demonstration was made. I have felt these attacks a few times since, but they never last.

Words cannot express my gratitude for the many things Christian Science has done for me. The greatest of all my blessings is the peace of mind, the harmony and joy, which I have gained through the study of this teaching.
