It is with gratitude for Christian Science that I send this testimony for publication. For several years my health had been failing. I had received medical treatment from time to time with no permanent benefit. When finally I had to give up work, the ailment was pronounced Grave's disease, for which there is no medical cure.

I had been in this condition for a year when a friend told me of Christian Science and lent me some Sentinels to read. At this time I was very depressed. I read the literature for three weeks and then purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which I commenced to read. I gave up medicine at once, as I saw it could not help me; and after I had been reading the textbook a short time I found that the depression had vanished. This gave me great encouragement, and slowly my health began to improve. Then Christian Science treatment was offered to me, which I gladly accepted, and at the end of a year I was able to return to my usual line of work. This healing took place in 1910, and for all these years it has been permanent. I am leading a very busy and active life, for which I am most thankful.

For the regeneration which has taken place I am deeply grateful, also for the privilege of church membership, for the ability to take an active part in the work, for the literature and the Lesson-Sermons. I am indeed grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the teaching of right thinking as the result of spiritual understanding, which is a great help to me in the details of everyday life.—(Miss) Matilda Gardiner, Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire, England.
