For years before coming to Christian Science I searched...

For years before coming to Christian Science I searched through one avenue and another for something to tie to, which would satisfy my longings. I had never united with a church, although I had been educated along religious lines. When Christian Science was brought to my notice I felt that the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, contained much that was beautiful and good, but that I was incapable of understanding so great a work. This resulted in my putting it aside and drifting again on the sea of error, arriving nowhere in consequence. I had always enjoyed good health, and thought I had no need for Christian Science; but the desire for Truth at last led me to return to it, and I found to my surprise that it was not complicated and hard to understand, but simple and practical. I began attending the church services and soon took up the systematic study of the Lesson-Sermons, in which I became much interested. This interest has never grown less, but constantly increases.

Through this study I was healed of an abnormal growth in the abdomen. I am very thankful for this demonstration and others, but even more for the spiritual understanding which I have gained. It helps me every hour of the day when I turn to it, and I am more and more turning to God as the source of all good.

I am truly grateful for the better understanding of God and His Christ, also to Mrs. Eddy for giving to mankind this teaching of Truth and Life.
