Jealousies, suspicions, and sectarian antagonisms have caused no end of mischief, and if Protestantism were always so to remain it is doubtful if we should be justified in celebrating the four hundredth anniversary of Luther's audacious enterprise; but we do not believe that Protestantism will always be distinguished by its multiplicity of internal differences. Underneath these differences it is now being seen that there is such a thing as "unity of the Spirit."
