It is with a sense of gratitude to God for Christian Science that I testify to our little daughter's almost instantaneous healing from scarlet fever. She came home from school on a Thursday afternoon complaining of headache, sore throat, and nausea, and was feeling too ill to eat dinner, so retired at once. I worked for her she we are taught to do in Science, but the next morning she appeared very feverish and we sent for a practitioner, who advised us to call a physician to diagnose the case, in order to comply with the health department laws in so-called contagious diseases. The physician promptly declared it to be a case of scarlet fever, and notified the board of health, who quarantined the patient.

The practitioner treated the child and the family for fear, and left this beautiful thought impressed on all: that there is no law of contagion in divine Mind. No material remedies were used, but in two days the rash entirely disappeared, also the other symptoms. The child had a healthy appetite and wanted to get up and dress. The doctor called the following Sunday and gave her a thorough examination, but could discover nothing the matter.

I am especially grateful for this demonstration, which has added much to my understanding of Christian Science and my confidence in God's law, also for the knowledge that divine Love is an ever present help in time of trouble. I am thankful to our beloved Leader, who has given us this beautiful truth.—Ida Chase Day, Yonkers, N. Y.
