I want to acknowledge the many blessings Christian Science has brought into my life. While I fall short in living up to its great and wonderful teachings, yet I know that some things have yielded to the better understanding of God, and that in time a great many more faults will be overcome divine Love.

In December, 1909, dropsy set in, and for six weeks I was unable to lie down. For several days and nights I could not sleep, whilt to walk or talk seemed almost impossible. Just below one knee there was a very angry looking spot, and I was cautioned by a nurse to have it attended to right away. All these conditions completely disappeared under Christian Science treatment, although at times I was very impatient and rebellious. I was in bed for five weeks, but the seventh week I was able to travel South. While the swelling did not disappear for about four months, I felt well long before that.

From this experience I date my first earnest study of Christian Science, and for it, as well as for other experiences, I am very grateful, but most of all I am thankful for the better understanding of God and of Christ Jesus as taught in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Indeed I cannot express in words my gratitude for the wonderful glimpses of God that have come through the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons, in learning to know myself and in coming into closer fellowship with God.—Mrs. C.
