[Written for the Sentinel]

To the Children

Dear little spring buds, blossoming
Each into a beautiful flower,
Nurtured and tenderly cared for,
Upheld by Truth's wondrous power,

Oh, may your little feet never
Away from Love's upward path roam,
Looking to Him who is ever
Truly mindful of His own.

And like the lily uplifting
Its pure, sweet face to the sky,
So may your little hearts open
To Him who is ever nigh.
