Hope is not building castles in the air,Nor wishing that a something may come true,Nor turning from the blackness of despairWith empty heart to gaze at heaven's blue.

Much higher is the knowledge that is oursWho read aright the lesson of the past,—That all the vaunted claims of evil's powersTo Truth omnipotent must yield at last.
