A correspondent declares: "Mrs. Eddy holds that she had a 'revelation,' and this revelation is enshrined in her book Science and Health. She has superseded the Bible with a false revelation of her own." This is not the case. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy may be said to be an interpretation of the Bible, but it does not in any way supersede it. The light that is thrown on the Bible through the study of the Christian Science text-book is so remarkable that instead of being a sealed book it has become an open book to millions, who have been thereby enabled to understand it sufficiently to prove its teachings by demonstration. One of the tenets of Christian Science, taken from page 497 of Science and Health, is as follows: "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life."
