I am deeply grateful for the spiritual understanding gained from a study of the Bible and Science and Health, and for the many blessings received since coming into Science. Six years ago my leg was broken, and after it had been in a cast for six weeks the doctors found it was an inch and a half short, so they broke it again in the hope of getting it to knit so that it would be like the other. This it refused to do, and when the doctors saw they could do nothing for me, they said I would be lame for life. Although I was under Christian Science treatment, I suffered continually, but I persevered and in about two months was able to walk. I was a trifle lame at first, but the lameness has all disappeared. About two years ago I was healed of a throat affection from which I had suffered every winter. My brother at the age of sixteen became paralyzed on the left side, so that his arm, his leg, and the muscles of his face were affected. A Christian Science practitioner gave him treatment, and in about six weeks the condition was overcome. He is now a strong, healthy young man.

My daily prayer is to have the Mind which was in Christ Jesus, that I may bring others into this truth. I am more than thankful for the understanding I have of God, and am grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. Two brothers and myself were brought up in this wonderful truth, and it is seventeen years since any one of us has taken a drop of medicine.
