For about ten years I have been studying Christian Science, and often the thought has come to send my thanks to the Sentinel, but each time error has said that I needed something big, something definite to speak of. I did not come to Science for healing; in fact did not know how much it was needed. A friend took me to a Wednesday evening meeting, and during the service I experienced a great sense of peace, for which I was indeed grateful, being storm tossed at the time. After that not a mid-week service was missed, and a year later I began to attend the Sunday services, finding they gave me much more help than those of the church which I had been attending.

About four years ago I was healed by Christian Science treatment of poisoning in both hands. Circumstances were so difficult at the time that I was most impatient, and this retarded the healing; but as soon as I was able to be more grateful and try to see what could be learned through the experience, the healing came, and with it greater patience and gratitude. My healing seemed slow, about six months elapsing before it was complete, but when compared with that of a relative who was suffering from the same condition, it was quick. This relative was quite incapacitated for a year, although a doctor was in almost daily attendance.

The condition manifested itself at the busiest time of the year for my work, but whenever I needed something done which was more than usually difficult, some one always offered to do it. For this added proof of Love's protection and care I was most grateful. I did not lose an hour from my work, although during the whole time I was unable to dress myself.
