Christian Science was not taken up by me for physical healing, but because I was greatly impressed with its teachings of love and harmony. Shortly after becoming interested in it, our boy, then twelve years old, was saved from asphyxiation through the understanding of God's allness. In the small hours of the morning we were awakened by a noise, but paid no attention to it. Possibly half an hour later a similar noise was heard, and thinking it came from our son's room, we arose and on entering his room found the lad lying unconscious on the floor, overcome with gas fumes from a defective furnace. We at once declared the truth with the result that he soon regained consciousness and by noon was ready to attend school. The way in which we were awakened was indeed a proof of God's protecting care and omnipresence.

Words alone can never express my thankfulness to God and my gratitude to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the foregoing demonstration and for many more proofs of the power of Truth that have been received by me and mine, both physical and financial. My sincere desire is that I may daily grow in grace and understanding, reflecting love and goodness at all times, so that others may wish to seek this beautiful religion of Truth and Love which, when found, will surely prove their greatest treasure.
