It is with a thankful heart that I wish to testify to the great blessings which Christian Science has brought into my life. It was in 1907 that I fell and injured my wrist, the pain being so severe that I almost lost consciousness and was unable to rise. As the accident occurred in my store, a customer stepped forward and helped me to get up. The arm and hand appeared to be very much swollen, so he spoke to me in a way which was apt to induce fear, saying that I would be unable to work for at least six months, that he had gone through the same experience years before, and that his arm had remained without strength since. I sought to deny this erroneous belief for myself, but immediately requested the assistance of a practitioner, as the pain was severe, I did nothing in a material way beyond binding my hand on a splint to keep it from moving unnecessarily. After the first treatments the pain grew decidedly less, and three weeks later I was able to resume all my work.

I was very happy and grateful not to be condemned to such a long period of inactivity. Spirit, God, was the healer, and the truth declared offset the dictum of mortal sense. I have had similar experiences during the last nine years in various other instances. I have experienced healing in a case of fracture of the rib, of poisoning through food, of inflammation of the lungs, of a disease of the eye, and of other discords. The understanding of God which I have gained through Christian Science has brought me a greater peace of mind, a happy sense, and a greater appreciation of life. Mrs. Eddy through her works has shown me the way to these things.
