With heartfelt gratitude I send this testimony of healing in Christian Science, as it may be the means of helping some one, and I feel it a duty as well as a privilege to acknowledge God's goodness to me. On Nov. 26, 1915, I was taken ill very suddenly with acute lung trouble, and sent word to a dear friend, a Christian Scientist, that I needed help. After seeing me she telephoned to a practitioner, who took the case. For the first five days I was unconscious of my surroundings part of the time, and many of my friends said I could not live; but God was lovingly taking care of me, and I gained strength each day. By the first of January I was able to do my own housework, even the washing, though to mortal sense this was a dangerous thing to do; but it was a proof to me of God's protecting care.

I am so thankful I was led to know about Christian Science several years ago through the healing of one of our daughters. Before I got through reading the beautiful chapter on Prayer in Science and Health, I was convinced it was the true teaching of Christ Jesus. I am thankful to God, and grateful to the many dear friends who were so kind to me, as well as to Mrs. Eddy, who gave to the world that wonderful book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which studied with the Bible shows us the way from sense to Soul.—Catherine M.
