Eight years ago I was instantaneously healed of an internal organic disease, a so-called incurable bowel trouble, and nervous exhaustion, also of corns and bunions, through reading Science and Health. Since then I have had many wonderful experiences of healing. A felon appeared on one of my fingers, and as my mother had often suffered intensely from this trouble I felt no little anxiety. The manifestation was present for about two weeks, but the pain was instantaneously overcome, leaving me free to attend to all my household duties, as well as piano practice, in which that finger was used as freely as any other. After two weeks had passed I noticed that the finger was very much disfigured, but again turned away from sense-testimony, realizing, as the apostle tells us, that "the word of God is quick, and powerful." The finger became perfectly normal, and the nail is now better than it ever was.

Another healing was that of an ulcerated tooth. Some fifteen years ago I had a large rear tooth treated for an abscess, and recall the intense suffering I endured, visiting the dentist every other day for nearly two months before it was filled. Later, when part of the tooth broke off, I turned my thought away, until I awoke one morning with an abscess. I had always suffered greatly for days before visiting a dentist, but this time, after studying the Lesson-Sermon and reading a chapter from Science and Health, I at once sought one out, and he informed me that the tooth would have to be extracted. I said I would think it over, and in walking toward home declared that what is impossible to mortal man is possible to God; that as I seemed to need this tooth, the need would be met. I then went to another dentist, who remarked after looking at the tooth, "I see you have had an abscess." He began the necessary preparation for filling the cavity, and then I realized that fear was entirely absent. With a joyful song in my heart I praised God for the healing. After the work was finished the dentist remarked that he wished some of his other patients were as free from nervousness as I was. I smiled at this, recalling that before I came into Science no dentist ever wished to take me as a patient.

The above are only a few out of many healings I have had, and in grateful acknowledgment to God, also to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, I send this testimony. I am trying to live in harmony with all mankind and to know but the one Mind, infinite and ever present.
