I have received so much good from the testimonies in the Sentinel that I appreciate the privilege of writing of some of the blessings which have come into my life through Christian Science, hoping that others may be encouraged as I have been. For a long time I had been having medical treatment for a form of diabets which seemed to cause pain in the joints, weak heart, inflamed eyes, physical weakness, and such confusion of thought that it was difficult to carry on a conversation. Christian Science was brought to my notice, and by a careful study of Science and Health I gained health and strength rapidly, and can now say that the trouble has been overcome.

Through the understanding of Christian Science it has been my privilege to overcome numerous ailments for our children, many times very quickly. When our twelve year old daughter was two years old, she had an attack of scarlet fever, which seemed to leave her with ear trouble. Both ears had discharged for five years, and for five years afterward she was not able to hear with one ear and had only partial use of the other. I asked for treatment in Christian Science for her hearing, and the next day an obstruction thicker than a lead pencil and three fourths of an inch long came from the ear and the hearing in both ears was perfect. Only when she has an attack of cold has her hearing been affected since, and through the study of the Lesson-Sermon I have been able to overcome any fear of poor hearing for her.

For years I had prayed that I might be permitted to live to see our family of small children grown up, and now am finding an answer to my prayer. I was very glad to learn that it is not God's will for a mother to be taken from her family. Words fail to express the gratitude I feel that Mrs. Eddy lived such a pure life that she was able to discover this truth which makes men free today as it did nineteen centuries ago.—Mrs. A. L.
