God's protecting love and ever-presence have been manifested to me. While I was feeding clothes into the wringer one day, the cog wheels caught my sleeve, drawing in the arm. I immediately declared the truth, and can honestly say that no pain or soreness was felt and the arm was used right away the same as ever. The bleeding soon ceased, and although the big lump which formed lasted about two weeks, no soreness manifested itself. That same night our little dog was bitten by a snake, and he was seemingly in great pain. I instantly began to treat him and in a few minutes he became quiet. The next morning he was apparently all right, except that one of his hind legs was greatly swollen, and in another day or two the swelling had gone down. Two painful corns have disappeared, throat trouble yielded to the power of Truth in one treatment, and burns have been healed instantly. One of my arms from elbow to hand was rough and unsightly, as it had been for several years, but the condition simply disappeared.

For all these experiences of Truth's healing power I am thankful to God. I am also grateful to Mrs. Eddy, His faithful servant, who was inspired by Him to make Life, Truth, and Love so plain that all who will may learn the way. There are no Scientists in this place, and there is no church nearer than Mobile, which is thirty miles away; but we have all the Christian Science books to read and the Lesson-Sermons to study, and I feel that we are not alone on our little farm, for God is here as well as elsewhere.
