With a grateful heart I make acknowledgment of some of the benefits received through Christian Science. Nearly four years ago I was healed through the power of Truth of throat trouble, after I had suffered from it nearly every winter since childhood days. At the time I was working in the mountains at a high altitude. The building had no heat and a constant draught blew on me, so that it was almost impossible to keep warm. My throat soon became seriously affected, insomuch that swallowing caused intense pain. Medicine was used almost constantly but without avail, and it seemed as if I would have to resign my position.

On going home one night I decided to give Christian Science a chance, as I had witnessed a beautiful demonstration some time previous, but hitherto had given it no particular thought. I called my friends on the telephone, and after stating the case, asked for Science help. They replied that treatment would be given me, and the result was that when I arose next morning the soreness and swelling had entirely disappeared. I would not believe the testimony of the senses and kept swallowing all day to see if my throat was not sore. By nightfall I had developed a slight soreness, so called my friends again, and further treatment was lovingly given me. The following morning my throat was well, and it has never troubled me since that time.

Through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I have been healed of biliousness and severe headache, to which I had been subject from childhood. Members of the family also have been healed of various ailments since I was first led to the truth. Deep gratitude is felt for my changed mental condition, my escape from sinful, selfish lusts, and my increasing desire for spiritual understanding and a knowledge of this truth that can be demonstrated. I thank God, and am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for leading me into the truth which makes mankind free.—Edwin E. Bussey, Juneau, Alaska.
