It is a privilege to express my gratitude for even the little understanding I have of Christian Science and for the many blessings received while studying this wonderful truth. When I tried to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy over ten years ago, it seemed a most difficult book to understand. I could get nothing out of it, so put it aside, saying there was nothing in it for me; but it is now clear to me why I could not understand this book, which has since become so helpful, and to which I turn for an answer to every seeming problem. Many of its statements, together with passages in the Bible which have been learned through the study of Science and Health, are in my thought always.

In my case Christian Science was not turned to for physical healing, but on account of mental unrest, and I soon found that this truth was really needed. I learned that God is Love, infinite, omnipresent, omniscient, and that a God of love did not afflict or punish His children, but all good was for me if I would but take it. I am so glad to have had the experience of overcoming hate with love; in fact, I know everything can be overcome with love, the truth which makes us free.

Before coming into Christian Science I had two attacks of what was called peritonitis, and afterward lived in dread of a repetition of this trouble. Soon after I accepted Christian Science another attack manifested itself, but I turned to divine Love for help and was instantly healed. That was very different from my former experiences, when in one case I was six months in convalescing.
