The love for all mankind that Christian Science has established in me compels this testimony. I began to read the literature some fifteen years ago, and at once admired the reasonableness of the teaching, or at least the small portion of it which was understood, and was often relieved of troubles, both mental and physical. Close study of the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, was not, however, made until a few years ago. Although much help had already been received, the healings were not permanent, the old troubles returning with more or less frequency and violence until the winter of 1911-12, when what was called a complete physical and mental breakdown set in. While in this hopeless condition I was led into a deeper study of Science and Health, and thus the door to relief was opened, so that today I rejoice in perfect freedom.

I am happy in my knowledge of the supremacy of Spirit over all forms of error, and since the study of Christian Science was taken up in earnest no drug or material remedy has been used in our family of four. For these evidences of God's care and help I am deeply thankful. The physical healing, while glorious indeed, does not constitute my only benefit from Science; I am overwhelmed in the contemplation of the spiritual blessings enjoyed. If no physical healing had been experienced, yet for the sweet assurances that have been mine of the establishment here and now of God's kingdom, I would give thanks such as can come only from a heart overflowing with love reflected from the Love that is divine.

I thank God also that in the operation of His wise laws a noble woman, Mrs. Eddy, at a time when the religion of our Master as taught and demonstrated by him was little understood, so unselfishly gave herself up to the task of again demonstrating to the world that God alone supplies our every need, if only we come to Him in faith.
