I first learned of Christian Science through the healing of a sister twelve years ago. I was suffering from throat trouble, and the physicians had not helped me; indeed I seemed to get worse. My sister, who came to visit me, looked well and happy, and she could hardly wait to tell me of God as Love and as unwilling for any of His children to suffer or be sick. I was healed as she talked to me, and a lump under my chin vanished to its native nothingness. It has since then been my privilege and joy to prove my faith by my works, and so lead others to know more of God as divine Love and "a very present help in trouble." I am deeply grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for Christian Science. It restored my faith in the Bible and gave me a God I could love, who doeth all things well. I am also grateful for the Christian Science periodicals.

In my family of five children Christian Science is the only remedy. When I was still young in Science my two year old boy fell, one hand going into a kettle of scalding water. I picked him up, and after wrapping the hand in cotton took him up-stairs and declared the truth as well as I understood it, and he was soon quiet. That night the child slept well, and he was playing around happily the next morning. The hand healed rapidly. All the children are quickly healed by reading Science and Health.

I had a great fear of going to the dentist, and so when it became necessary to have a number of teeth extracted I asked a practitioner to help me. The thought that Love fills all space was with me, and the operation was painless. It was a beautiful experience, and it led a sister who was with me to take up Christian Science.—Nora J. Horner, Knox, Ind.
