I am truly grateful for the opportunity of finding out what Christian Science really is. Our little boy, three and a half years old, while playing one day was hit in the nose with a sharp piece of rock and the nose was badly lacerated. Not being able to reach the practitioner, I declared the truth for myself and the child, and turning to God, found Him "a very present help," for the child was free from pain in a short time. Absent treatment was given later in the evening, and the bleeding was checked at once. The boy was restless during the night and his breathing heavy, but he was given another treatment in the morning and was out playing during the day without any bandage on the nose. Within a few days there was not even a scar left. People who watched the results thought the healing wonderful. The children were also healed of chicken-pox in three days; even the baby two months old had the ailment. Besides this, measles, mumps, coughs, and many other ills have been overcome with a few treatments.

A baby was born to us lately and a hemorrhage was overcome in two hours. Where weakness was, strength was given me. This was all done through absent treatment. I surely am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who has given us a better understanding of the Bible and of Christ Jesus' teachings. Christian Science means everything to us in our home and business. We apply it for all problems, and it has brought us peace, harmony, happiness, health, and prosperity. I cannot find words to express my gratitude for this great truth, and my thankfulness to God for His loving-kindness and the protection we are getting daily.
