I am one of the many thousands who have been blessed by the truth as revealed in Christian Science, and I hope my testimony will serve to encourage those who are dwelling in a false sense of life in matter to turn toward the light and be free. As God was revealed to me, bringing peace and health and happiness, I know that every one can be made "every whit whole," for the Love that heals and regenerates is free and immeasurable.

For ten years I suffered from a malady that baffled many physicians to whom I applied for help. Some of them pronounced it a nervous intestinal affection, while others said the trouble was caused by adhesions of the intestines. I was operated on by one of the most noted surgeons in the United States, but neither the operation nor any of the many systems of medical treatment that I constantly tried gave me the slightest relief, and I grew morbid and despondent. One physician told me that if I were alive five years from that date I would be a physical wreck. Another said he could find no physical cause for the disease and therefore concluded it must be mental. He recommended a change of scene, and acting in accordance with his advice, I sought a change of scene and found Christian Science. A friend told me that God is the only Mind, that He did not send sickness, that He knew nothing of it, and as my true selfhood was an expressed idea of that Mind I need not, in fact could not, experience anything unlike God.

From the day I began to study the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, my healing began. As my understanding grew the attacks of pain became less frequent and less severe, until finally they vanished altogether. It took long and patient study, as I had no practitioner for this trouble, only the Bible and Science and Health, but what I learned in those months is more precious than everything else in the world, for I learned of the one and only God.
