The benefits I have received in Christian Science for the past four years have been so many that I must express my thanks to God for them. I was a member of a church and received some good from its teachings, for it taught me many lessons in the Bible; but as time went on my health failed me. I thought much of the promises of the Scriptures that I had heard read in church, but they did not give me health and happiness, that for which I was striving. I went to the physicians and they did what they could for me. For three years I took medicine constantly, with no good results. Then I tried Christian Science, with the result that I am healed. I am glad to say that this new-old religion did not take away the truth of the Scriptures; it only gave me a better understanding of them. Christian Science has given me a Principle and rule whereby I can demonstrate that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

I have discontinued the use of glasses after having worn them for several years; I am also glad to say that the habit of using tobacco, formed in boyhood, has been overcome by the understanding of God as taught in Christian Science. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us a book through which the Bible is understood in a better way than of old. Through "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" I am learning what God really is, and man's relationship to Him.
