President Wilson has signed the national park service bill, and the sixteen national parks of the United States will in the future be administered under one management.
All
scientific mental work is based upon spiritual understanding, which at once separates such work from anything that may seem to be accomplished upon the plane of human suggestion or will-power.
Quite
often we say to ourselves that if we could only remember everything we read what wonderful knowledge we would possess; but does it ever occur to us that perhaps we have been trying to remember the wrong things, or the nonessentials, instead of sifting the chaff of mortal, finite sense from the wheat of spiritual truth?
While
Christian Science makes its appeal to intelligent thought, the pride and self-satisfaction of the human intellect rob it of teachableness; and since Christian Science is not humanly intellectual, but spiritual, it can be understood only through spiritual sense.
We attended the Christian Science lecture in our Brick Hall and listened to a very forceful and logical discourse on the teachings of Christian Science.

years have passed since the first reader read from the desk of The Mother Church the following words of Mary Baker Eddy from page 135 of "Miscellaneous Writings":—

if the beginner in Christian Science has been a church member for many years, he is usually surprised to discover how many testimonies of healing there are in the gospels, for the healing of the sick was not a distinguishing feature in the work of his own church, as it is in the Church of Christ, Scientist.
The
advancing Christian Scientist may suffer temporarily from the self-accusation of hypocrisy unless the line of demarcation between the real and the unreal is kept sharply drawn.
I have received so much help and encouragement from reading the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals, that I should like to tell of two of the many healings which have taken place in my family.
In so far as I have endeavored to make practical application of the teachings of Christian Science I have had beautiful experiences, and I would not let the opportunity of acknowledging them publicly go by.
To the many weary seekers after Truth I gratefully and lovingly give my testimony in behalf of that wonderful liberator of enslaved mankind, Christian Science.
