War Relief Fund

OUR readers will be interested in the following excerpts from letters received from the relief committees in Holland and Switzerland.

"The requests for help have been very numerous in September, and we have spent f.1135 [$459], feeling very grateful to be able to extend a helping hand in so many cases of great difficulties, through the love and unselfish generosity of our friends in America. I wish that all the kind givers could witness the deep gratitude of the suffering ones, when they realize that divine Love is meeting their need and that the brotherhood of men is being demonstrated in Christian Science."

"There has been great need among our people, and much suffering which we were able to lessen. To them it seemed very wonderful that loving hearts three thousand miles away should send bread to their children, wood for their fires, and last but not least, words of comfort, of hope,—of Truth and Love. They are so ready to listen ; to hear about a loving Father who is able to meet every human need, to whom they can turn without doubt or misgiving; a Father near at hand, unchangeable, bestowing all good upon His children. And when they are taught our way of thinking and working with God, they are so grateful for the light which has flooded their consciousness, that they have joyfully joined our ranks with hearts overflowing with gratitude to those who, led by divine Love, have bestowed so many blessings.
