I came to Christian Science for physical healing for my mother and myself. After all material means had failed, we were advised by a friend to try Christian Science, and we decided to do so. My mother was in a very critical condition. She had been under medical treatment for months, and the physician then in charge told a member of the family that she would soon pass on. We felt sure that she was suffering from a malignant growth in the stomach, as she had nursed two members of the family through the same disease and was familiar with all the symptoms.

When we called for a Christian Science practitioner, my mother was indeed almost within "the valley of the shadow of death," but in a remarkably short time after dropping all drugs and relying entirely on God, divine Principle, she was completely healed. The growth dissolved and all pain passed away, and she has never had a return of it since.

With this healing there came to me a spiritual uplift, a wonderful unfoldment of Truth and Love. I began earnestly to study the Bible, together with our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, to find out how this healing was brought about, and gradually, with the aid of a loving practitioner, my own inharmonious conditions began to vanish one by one, though many of them had been chronic. Glasses were laid aside after wearing them for seven years, and my eyesight is now perfect. Likewise stomach disorder and chronic bowel trouble have disappeared before the word of Truth.
