I am indeed grateful for the opportunity to tell of the great blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. In 1910 I suffered severely from stomach trouble and pain in the back, these symptoms being supposedly connected with a kidney affection. I was also afflicted with rheumatism, and none of the medical means which were resorted to brought the health I was longing for. It was then that my sister-in-law brought me the first tidings of Christian Science. I immediately applied to a practitioner for help and read the Bible and the Herold assiduously; nevertheless for months my progress seemed very slow, as I experienced difficulty in gaining the right comprehension of Christian Science.

I went through many an hour of doubt and struggle until the understanding of our heavenly Father, ever present Love, dawned upon me and I saw that absolute faith in the omnipotence of divine good, and a life in accordance with it, alone would set me free. Then, after months of wavering, I began to experience in a very definite way the wonderful blessings which come from a whole-hearted, deep trust in God. I became able to work as never before, and was not in the least incapacitated when lifting or carrying heavy objects, as had formerly been the case, despite the truss used as a support. Of course I discarded this when the right recognition of this blessed Science came, and now my whole trust is set upon God. Treatment was necessary a short while longer, when I realized my complete healing. Now I am perfectly well.

To Christian Science I owe health and a new, right sense of life; and even more, the recognition of the Father's all-inclusive, infinite love, the knowledge that He forever cares for His own, and that all blessings are present, if through following the right course in thought and deed we become fit to be partakers thereof. My deepest desire is that many people may through Christian Science be led to true self-knowledge and the right understanding of God. I am so thankful that there was found one fit to impart to the world again the saving truth contained in the Master's teachings, and above all I am grateful for having found God and learned to pray to Him aright.
