Before coming into Christian Science I was unhappy, discontented, subject to the "blues," worried about lack of money and work, and was continually taking medicine. I did not have any religion or believe in the Bible as it is taught. My thought was reaching out, however, and I sought to know something of Christian Science by asking questions. One evening a friend came home from a visit where she had learned of this teaching, and she told me to read the four gospels. The next morning I did so, and my thought changed completely. I saw man as spiritual, and knew that Christian Science is the Christ-healing. Further, a "still small voice" told me I should not take medicine; but as I had taken it for seventeen years I knew of no way to get along without it except by having Christian Science treatment. I did so and was healed at once. This proved to me the truth of this teaching. I have been attending church for almost three years and now have a new outlook on life.

I have been healed of a tendency to take cold continually, of nervousness, and many other discords. I am grateful for the understanding of God which I have gained through the study of Christian Science, the knowledge that no matter what the material conditions seem, there is a sure solution to every problem. Each day I am learning more, and I find the daily study of the Bible Lessons a great help. I am grateful that the true idea of life has been given to humanity through the Bible, and that it has been made plain to us by Mrs. Eddy.
