Since I have been a student of Christian Science I have had...
Since I have been a student of Christian Science I have had more peace and joy than in all my previous life. I am truly thankful to God and to Christian Science for the healing of one of my children. One Saturday, shortly after midnight, my little girl was taken quite ill with severe stomach trouble. Her fever seemed very high and there was continuous vomiting. Early Sunday morning I called a practitioner, and by noon the child was resting comfortably and had no fever. About seven in the evening she fell asleep and slept soundly all night, without once awakening. The next morning she arose without being called, and went to school bright and happy. She was perfectly healed. Her quick recovery was certainly wonderful to me, as before knowing of Christian Science I had seen her in bed at least a week with this same ailment. The child was not only healed physically but spiritually, for she was left with a pleasing disposition, which she had never had before. I am very grateful for this.
One Wednesday, just before the evening meeting, I was taken quite ill with all the symptoms of influenza, but I did not call a practitioner until about eleven o'clock. I was treated that night, and by the next day was feeling all right and went about my work as usual. In the old way of thinking, I had often had this same trouble and been confined to bed a week or more, suffering very much. I am thankful for this quick healing, and for many others. Christian
Science has taught me to know more of God, and has made me a different woman toward everybody. I have been able to overcome many ailments myself, and have learned to trust God in all my daily work.
