I wish that every Jew would heartily endorse the plea of Henry Deutsch, made by him in the daily press, for "the equal right of every individual to worship and practise his religion as it seems best to him, without harm or injury to, or interference with, his neighbor." I wish that every Jew would stand by him in his efforts to defeat the attempted legislation in our state capitol against Christian Science healers.

The law should not interfere with any man's belief, especially as in all matters the Christian Scientists are law-abiding, and comply with all prescribed sanitary measures, as vouched for by Mr. Deutsch. In my humble opinion Christian Scientists are the most consistent Christians, and it ill becomes the Christian members of the legislature and other Christian gentlemen to interfere with them. If any one wishes to be an honest follower of Jesus, and in his name to "cast out devils," and "speak with new tongues," and "take up serpents," and "drink any deadly thing" without being hurt, what right have we to hinder him?
