I should like to express a little of my deep thankfulness...

I should like to express a little of my deep thankfulness to God, and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science. Before knowing of this glorious truth I was full of fears, and weighed down by a dreadful sense of responsibility over our children. Christian Science is teaching me that there is nothing to fear, that the children are not mine, but God's, so I need only to give them daily into His care, and to know that they are safe.

Many beautiful proofs of the truth of Christian Science have come to our home. When my baby was born, peace and harmony prevailed, and I was able to be up and about as usual in a few days. This seemed wonderful to me, as on previous occasions I had suffered much, and weary months of weakness and depression had followed. Coughs, colds, and children's ailments quickly disappear now that we begin to see them for what they are,—illusions of material sense; and best of all, life is filled with joy that comes from the consciousness that God is infinite good, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient. I feel especially grateful for class teaching, which has helped to make this plain to me, for the kind friends who have helped me, and for the Christian Science literature, which is such a constant source of strength, inspiration, and guidance.
